Seven women and children at the West China Medical University Hospital in Chengdu

Seven women and children at the West China Medical University Hospital in Chengdu received a donation handed over by Mrs Li Cuifang on Sunday June 6, 2008. Four of the children received there second donation.

Huang Siyu

• Girl; 12 years, 5th grade, Yingxiu Primary School.; Address: Dong Jienao village, Yinxing township, Wenchuan County
• Pediatric Surgical Dept. Bed No. 30
• The classroom was on the 4th floor, when earthquake accured, she managed to run to the third floor before the house collapsed on her. She crawled out by herself through the rubble after a long time. Her left leg amputated.

He Cuntao

• Woman; 22 years; Address: 2nd Group, Guihua Township, Guixing Town, Guangan District, Guangan City.
• Surgical Department, Bed No. 10
• She was at work in Shifang, at the epicenter, A cement pillar fell on her legs. She was rescued by the soldiers after over 50 hours under the rubble. Her both legs were amputated.

Cui Canghui

• Woman; 38 years; Address: Wuma Village Bajiao Town Shifang City.
• Surgical Dept. Bed No. 7
• She worked as a cook at a building company, in a valley surounded by high moutains. She was burried under a collapsed building. After her colleagues tried in vain to free her from the rubble, she begged them to leave her and run for life. Before they left, she asked them to give her a bottle. With the bottle she managed to drink her own urine and ate worms. Due to lanslides that blocked all roads, it took the rescue team, which was sent with helipcopter, 216 hours, before they rescued her. Her colleagues eventually managed to walk out of the mountains to get help for her.
• Physical Condition: Right arm fracture, 9 fractured ribs, lumbar vertebra fracture, liquid is accumulating continously in her chest cavity.

Zhou Yubi *

• Girl; 8 years, Yingxiu Primary School 2nd grade, 2nd class; Address: Yingxiu, Wenchuan County.
• Pediatric Surgical Dept. Bed No. 25
• Amputation on her left humurus. She was having a lesson and hiding under the desk when earthquake accured. 7 out of 37 classmates survived the earthquake. Over 300 of the school's 400 students were killed. Her father Zhou Lunju, who was a sixth grade teacher was dug out from the rubble on the third day, dead.

Yang Rui *

• Girl; 4 1/2 years; Address: Han Wang Town, Primary School
• Pediatric Surgical Dept. Bed No. 21
• Her mother was just sending her to the kindergarten on the second floor. The building collapsed when they just walked into the building on the ground floor. They were burried under the rubble until the grandfather dug them out. Yang Rui has got her big toe on her left foot amputated. Her foot needs skin-transplant. Mother suffers from cerebral confusion, lumbar vertebra fracture; Father was injured and sent to another hospital. Father is a peasant.

Gou Fei *

• Girl; 16 years; Address before earthquake: 15th Group, Sanba Village Juyuan Town, Du Jiangyan, Juyuan Middle School, Junior middle 3rd Grad, Du Jiangyan.
• Surgical Department, Room No. 6, Bed no. 9
• Her classroom was on the 2nd floor.(Some 900 students were burried under the rubble of Juyuan Middle School). She was having a lesson when the earthquake occured. The school building collapsed, she lost her left eye; she also suffers from bone fascial injury form both of her lower parts of the legs. The family's house collapsed during the quake which has left the family homeless. The mother was so grateful for the donation that she bursted in cries.
• Gou Fei, has after Mrs. Li's first visit received skin transplant on both legs. The skin was first removed from the upper parts of her legs, to the lower parts.

Zen Pengfei *

• Boy; 7 1/2 years; Address: 5th Group Erlong Village Jiulong Town Mianzhu, 1st Grader, Jiu Long Middle School.
• Bed No. 12.
• The classroom was on the 2nd floor. The schoolbuilding collapased on him when he just managed running to the staircase on the second floor. He was dug out by the soldiers after 13 hours under the rubble. He suffered from open fracture of his left leg and now it was amputated, the skin was rotten up to the thigh.
